NASA Flight Director Has A Mohawk. So Fuck You

A big happening for all us Alternative kids as NASA’s Bobak Ferdowsi shows the world, what you’re made of isn’t about what you choose to look like. Ferdowsi had a dyed Mohawk in the colors of the American Flag as a celebration of Curiosity’s landing, which shot him to internet fame. It also can show all the Alternative kids that being cool isn’t about being a lazy bum. You can be an accomplished being and be cool!

This is greatly representative of the corporate structure of ‘nu’ successful companies. Apple computers and Steve Jobs in my opinion are to credit for giving birth to the ending of suit and tie exclusive corporate success. Walk into any top corporate office such as Google or Facebook and you will see how incredible and relaxed the environment is. Gyms, Food Courts etc. Which, when handed to the right people, makes them love their work and assume responsibility over their doings. The end of micromanagement. As long as you do your job, you are respected to be whatever you wish, which helps you grow as a person and which in turn makes you become a better employee.

I’m not saying every kid with a mohawk is a damn genius but a genius or a valuable asset to a company can look like anything. Props to NASA and this great vibe in all the leading Tech companies in the world. Now, I can tell girls I work at NASA and they may just PUilive me ;) “lolz”

    1. Yes.

Choose your battles wisely in the work world, though. Going in to a job as the newbie or a low-level grunt and not respecting their existing culture is a sign of irresponsibility and immaturity as much as not pulling your weight. Change it from within, but don’t expect a business to put up with your demands if you don’t have something valuable to give them in return.

    2. I work at one of the biggest advertising agencies in the world. As long as you’re not a sales person here, you can express yourself mostly anyway you want as long as it doesn’t offend others. People here are always laughing. We have wet Wednesday where the company gets everyone drunk. It’s a fun environment and everyone get’s their job done. Even if that means putting in extra hours or whatever it takes. Not because they are scared, but because they love the company.

    3. AS someone from Jet City, where people like us work openly in all sorts of jobs (or did in the 90′s when I was still there) it is a great thing to see. I currently live in Oklahoma where-forget mowhawks and tattoos and long hair-if you are not a white Christian with a frat boy haircut you are just not even part of the community. What a change…

    4. I have to at least wear my company shirt at my job, but can wear whatever bottoms and shoes I like to and can also wear my hair and makeup how I so choose since I am office personnel, I think that is why I have been here as long as I have been. I can laugh and joke around with people and I don’t feel suffocated.

    5. Today I am wearing a polka doted dress and vans to work. Because I can.
I work on 33rd street, in an office where business gets done with companies all over the world, presidents of corporations walk in and make sales at a time equaling more than I make in the year. But as long as I have my ass covered, I can wear what I want. It is amazing.
Especially with what I do outside of here, (pro wrestling) a lot of people seem to think we’re all just a bunch of dumb scumbags but surprise, some of us have our shit together.

    6. I’m a phone sex opperator I can wear what ever I want lol. But seriously this reminds me of. The song signs from tesla you should be able to be yourself dress the way you are doesn’t mean your less then
